EIGER2 S Series
Description
DECTRIS EIGER2® S photon-counting X-ray detectors are the perfect choice if your research requires large-area, high-resolution beamline detectors, but not the ultimate speed. Like all EIGER2 detectors, this camera with 75-µm pixels delivers data with the highest spatial resolution. It includes two independent energy thresholds for spectral sensitivity, a single-pixel point-spread function for ideal counting statistics, and fast image readout with a frame rate up to 1 kHz. Equipped with a silicon sensor that is 450 µm thick, EIGER2 S detectors cover X-ray energies between 6 and 40 keV.
EIGER2 S detectors come in a variety of sizes. Their robustness, combined with excellent support, make EIGER2 S detectors the most reliable and future-proof tool for cost-conscious beamlines.

◆ More & better data: these detectors have a large active area, two adjustable energy-discriminating thresholds, and a high count rate (over 107 ph/s/pixel). There is no readout noise or dark current.
◆ Affordable: EIGER2 S detectors offer a high resolution for an unbeatable price per pixel.
◆ Reliable: these detectors feature extremely stable performance and radiation hard design. Delivery terms are guaranteed, thanks to streamlined industrial production and top-notch support over the product’s entire lifetime.
→ EIGER2 S 16M
This is the largest DECTRIS detector with a 75 μm pixel size, ideal for macromolecular crystallography with a high count rate at a modest price tag.
→ EIGER2 S 9M
This detector with more than nine million pixels is an excellent and affordable allrounder for macromolecular crystallography and other synchrotron applications that demand the highest pixel resolution.
→ EIGER2 S 4M
This detector is an excellent tool for diffraction, SAXS, or ptychography in cases where ultimate speed is not required. In-vacuum compatibility is optionally available.
→ EIGER2 S 1M
With a frame rate of 1,000 Hz and an extremely high count-rate capability, this is a universal and affordable tool for scattering or diffraction experiments.
